Therapy Approach
As a professionally-trained psychotherapist, I am dedicated to helping client’s navigate life’s challenges and embrace personal growth. My personal journey that led to becoming a psychologist was influenced by my own transformative experiences in therapy. This personal journey fostered a passionate desire to extend the same transformative potential to my clients, which resonates deeply with my own sense of purpose.
My therapy approach is rooted in dynamic exploration, particularly delving into your early attachment style, which profoundly shapes our functioning as adults. I believe that understanding these early patterns can unlock significant individual transformation. Additionally, I incorporate cognitive-behavioral skills, mindfulness-based practices, solution-oriented techniques, and an internal family systems focus when needed to provide a well-rounded therapeutic experience.
When approaching goal setting, I believe it is essential to begin by establishing a strong therapeutic rapport to help me better understand your needs, values, and aspirations. Collaboratively, we identify specific, measurable, and realistic goals that align with your desired outcomes. We then break these goals into manageable steps, and regularly revisit and adjust them as progress unfolds. During the initial session, you can expect me to gather essential background information about your experiences and the challenges you are currently facing. This session is an opportunity for you to share your concerns, goals, and expectations while getting to know me as your therapist.
